I don't disagree with the poll process in the sense that it can give Shades an indication of "where to go", but in the end I think that he should go with a "gut feeling", even if the person he selects doesn't get the most votes. No, I don't think it should be a "popularity contest". I've already indicated my preference, but there's no poll for that person (BC), nor is there one for you, for that matter (I could theoretically vote for both of you). So you're right that it does seem a bit confusing and haphazard (the poll process). Also, I'm not going to be a "main player" on this board in future, so I don't consider my opinion as being that important, but I'll still express it.

WHAT was the Saturday or Sunday of "gay pride fest?" This board was NOT shut down on either Saturday or Sunday. For that matter, I had no idea that any gay pride fest was taking place until after-the-fact.

Again, WHAT does it say about the person who put the board up in the first place? That I'm not gay-friendly enough because I didn't declare a board holiday in honor of gay pride day--a day I wasn't aware of in the first place?
