Well, zee you brought up quotations from church publications. Here is a fact: if one goes back in time, no christian church was given its flock freedom to masturbate. Most had it as a sin. And certainly the apostle Paul did not give the early church members such freedom to masturbate. At least I don't see such freedom given in the new testament.

I am sure that if Athena is a pagan goddess, she would have no problem with masturbation. The pagans seemed to have a very liberal attitude toward sex.

Joey, is a fictional character who is a son of fictional parents. Most boys and girls know that masturbation is something that needs to be done in privacy. And most would feel that it is something wrong to do. This comes from christian and thus, cultural understanding. However, if a parent tells their sons and daughters that there is nothing morally wrong with masturbation and they are free to do it anytime they feel the need, well, it can become quite messy if one has a teenage boy. Now if teenage boys have been known for their cleanliness, no problem. But most teenage boys are not very clean, especially with their bedrooms.

A tissue may not do the trick.

First of all, everyone fantasizes, everyone has lust in their heart, even if they abstain from jerkin the yerkin.

Second of all, you don't HAVE to fantasize to masturbate. Or if you do, as a single person you don't have to fantasize about married women - that's where "adultery of the heart" would come in.
