Why Me,
You're being an asshole.
I'm sorry mods. I had to make a personal attack. See Shades? I would make a terrible mod.

Oh for shame, how the mortals put the blame on us gods, for they say evils come from us, but it is they, rather, who by their own recklessness win sorrow beyond what is given... Zeus (1178 BC)

Well, zee you brought up quotations from church publications. Here is a fact: if one goes back in time, no christian church was given its flock freedom to masturbate. Most had it as a sin. And certainly the apostle Paul did not give the early church members such freedom to masturbate. At least I don't see such freedom given in the new testament.
I am sure that if Athena is a pagan goddess, she would have no problem with masturbation. The pagans seemed to have a very liberal attitude toward sex.
I intend to lay a foundation that will revolutionize the whole world.

I wonder if apostle Paul gave the early saints permission to masturbate when the need was felt? What do you think zee?
Now Athena, maybe she would freely give permission to masturbate. Have you asked her for permission and have you gotten a response? Sounds hot to ask a female goddess permission to masturbate.
The Biblical writers were wise enough to keep their noses out of their followers' loincloths, at least on this issue.

No offense, but that's damned stupid. "Permission" to masturbate? It's not condemned anywhere in the Bible.
Where in the Bible is permission given to yodel?

And most would feel that it is something wrong to do. This comes from christian and thus, cultural understanding. However, if a parent tells their sons and daughters that there is nothing morally wrong with masturbation and they are free to do it anytime they feel the need, well, it can become quite messy if one has a teenage boy. Now if teenage boys have been known for their cleanliness, no problem. But most teenage boys are not very clean, especially with their bedrooms.
A tissue may not do the trick.
Anyway I am glad that the masturbation thread has made a comeback. Where would this board be without masturbation?
If you're done fantasizing about messy masturbating teenagers, could you drop the creepiness now?

"I made a covenant with my eyes not to look with lust upon a girl. I know full well that the Almighty God sends calamity on those who do" (Job 31:1-3, The Living Bible).
"You have heard that it was said, 'Do not commit adultery.' But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart" (Matthew 5:28).
Here is the point: Try masturbating without thinking of the opposite sex when you do. Or if you are gay, the same sex. Most people who masturbate have sexual fantansies when they do so. Thus, they have lust in the heart.

People keep on responding to my thesis. I just need to respond out of politeness.

Everyone, let's not help perpetuate Why Me's fantasy. Please don't encourage him.

So, the crux of your argument is that it's morally wrong to masturbate because of the potential mess.
Again, hats off for making one of the most idiotic arguments ever.
God belief is for people who don't want to live life on the universe's terms.

First of all, everyone fantasizes, everyone has lust in their heart, even if they abstain from jerkin the yerkin.
Second of all, you don't HAVE to fantasize to masturbate. Or if you do, as a single person you don't have to fantasize about married women - that's where "adultery of the heart" would come in.
