Answer me please: What is OFFICIAL LDS Doctrine?

Many Mormons are now claiming that the Curse of Cain Doctrine was "never a doctrine of the Church" based upon.....I don't know what they based this upon!

The Curse of Cain Doctrine was taught by Presidents in General Conference, and in letters by the First Presidency, calling it "a doctrine of the Church".

My question is (and I DO expect you to sincerely try to answer this):

*What factors determine what IS and what IS NOT official LDS Church doctrine?

It's clear to me now that the only Official Doctrine of the COJCOLDS is whatever a member feels the Spirit confirms as true. It's completely and utterly subjective.

It's a newer phrase meaning doctrine. It is creaping it's way more and more into LDS culture. Doctrine is just the teachings and practices of a religion, but many in different religions view doctrine also as absolute truth. In many ways official doctrine may be used for some to view as the real truth, and other things now discraded were never real truth/official doctrine. It is basically useless to add official, since a doctrine of any religion is by definition official. Maybe someday the church will actuall come up with A list of official doctrines. LOL

In that case, it may be said that either the Curse of Cain is real, or President Young was not the true prophet.

The statement "Approaching Mormon Doctrine" has not been voted on by the First Presidency and the Twelve, and accepted by the general Church membership, and is not found in the Standard Works, therefore it is not official doctrine.

According to the aforementioned "Approaching Mormon Doctrine", whatever is published by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Doctrine does indeed change, but usually critics have been unable to accurately identify what actually has changed largely because they are unwilling to let go of their pet theories.
