I've talked to some old timers about this, and they all seem to agree that the negro was less valiant in the pre-existence, and Cain is the father of all negroes, and they shouldn't be allowed near the white women. When I talk to young people about it they give me a WTF face. When I taught Young Mens, I just skipped over the Spencer W. Kimball quote in the YM Manual.

Who are the old timers? Your post sounds as if you were talking to the Klan. "The father of all negroes" is a dead giveaway and "they shouldn't be allowed near white women". But nice try. Maybe you should wander down to sheriff bucks office on mulberry street and not just hang out in the general store talking to alabama's finest citizens.

Oh dear, you'd better sit down this is going to come as a bit of a shock....

We recommend that people marry those who are of the same racial background generally

Now I know that there has been a lot of speculation about this across the decades. I know a lot of people here were taught the 'black people were less valiant' angle.

But what has the Church said was the official, doctrinal purpose/reason for banning Black people from holding the Priesthood?

Please resist testimony bearing and stick with official Church pronouncements and teachings.

There never was an official statement on why so you're going to have a tough time finding one. Everything was speculation. I remember this well because I lived it as a missionary in Venezuela from 1974-1976 where we weren't allowed to seek to teach black people.

Then you went to a German teacher and said, "Oh my God! You tell them nothing of the Nazis and the Holocaust, and say that Germany helped the Jews establish the STate of Israel? How could you LIE like this?"

In general, I don't like daheshism.
He is extreme in his views, he is fantastic and immoderate.

In this case, he is in the right. His example fits 1000%.

And this is not something against Why Me. He(?) is the product of his (Mormon?) environment. He is not guilty. His leaders are.
