Conclusion:

Over the years Joseph Smith’s stories have been re-written to standards which people can, and do, put their faith in. Yet, how many investigators would ask God in prayer about the truthfulness of Smith’s stories if they only had early versions to base their findings upon?

LOL

Dr. Shades,

Now that I know anything I post may/will be laughed at

“LOL”

by Belmont, I have no more desire to interact on this forum.

I was hoping his intolerance for me would stop at the “Rich’s Website” thread.

Belmont’s slanderous attacks need to come to an end.

This is not a healthy place for me.

Good by.

It doesn't feel good to be mocked, does it Rich? How do you think Mormons, Jehova's Witnesses, and Seventh Day Adventists feel when they read your website?

You seem like a nice enough guy; I hope you stick around. When you stop attacking my faith, we will get along just fine.

Hey Z,

If you slightly alter your description of the little needles of truth in the haystack of Mormonism to read "little chipmunks of truth" (in a dark forest), I think you will have minted an instant classic.

Little chipmunks of truth - I love it.

I thought the purpose of apologetics was not to prove that Mormonism's foundational claims are true, but to prove that they're at least possibly true and, if possible, plausibly so.

Well, that's the best anyone could ask for, in the face of revelations that are never recorded, revelations that are late, and revelations that are backdated.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.
