:) I recommend two techie placebos in this case.
1) a "Ban" button that people can use, all freaking day long, 10000 times a day. It can say "<Name> has been banned!" What it really does, is put the "banned" person on ignore.
2) a "Remove offending image button.", that anyone can use, all freaking day long 10000 times a day. It can say "Image has been removed!" What it really does, is disable the button-pusher from seeing the images that have been posted.

This degree of terroristic threat is unpleasant, but it has been suggested that banning Joseph would be like kicking a hornets nest, activating a pair of flying hunter-seekers or giving the Imam a wedgie. Life could be even more unpleasant afterward.

If you put in a ban, who will inform shades when copyrighted material is being used here, most likely without permission?
The solution is simple, follow 'fair use' as allowed by US Copyright law, use your own photos, use royalty free photos(within the limitations imposed by those who control them) or get permission to use the photos you post.

Using material without permission puts this site at risk of another shutdown. One more, or a few more and it will be light out permanently. You know what, Joseph? I could care less whether or not you are banned. You have absolutely no power over this site any longer. Shades has disengaged the image code once again, so the image violation problems are moot.
Also, I have no problem with you reporting offenses in copyright laws. What I have a problem with is you bullying members who disagree with you, via PM, with proactively LOOKING for these violations, even when they are not done in an intentional manner.
That is using the site as a pawn for your own gain, and that is what is objectionable.
Stop pulling this DCMA thing out as a Trump card every time something doesn't go your way, and I think you will find that you will be much more accepted.
