I could not imagine being in that position. It'd be tough and I agree very courageous of him.

He's a celibate gay man. His goal appears to be trying to change church culture rather than agitating for changes in policy. Smart guy. If BYU or the church retaliate, they're going to look like tyrants.

Just sends a tingle up your leg, doesn't it?

Yeah, that's likely. Given the track record and all...
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

It sounds like it's sending a tingle up yours, Droopy. Any confessions to relay?
This, or any other post that I have made or will make in the future, is strictly my own opinion and consequently of little or no value.

Have you ever considered coming out? I don't mean having a relationship with a man, but being openly gay in your ward.

You obviously didn't listen to his story.

This guy is on your side, bcspace. I'm not sure what you think will be gained by trivializing him and saying insulting, insensitive, ignorant things about him and those like him.

I don't know about Droopy but most of us straight men have. I feel like doing it just to see the reaction and hopefully get a few people a little more familiar with it all. Shake things up a little.

Sounds to me like BCspace would benefit from getting to know this guy. It could open up his mind a bit.

Anyone who self identifies as homosexual is not on my side on this issue.

I know and am friends with quite a few self-identified homosexuals of all stripes. Also, when I served in LA, my companion and I were specifically tasked to aid the return to membership and activity of homosexuals who had left.
