The Exodus Story
A lot of Christians bag on the Book of Mormon for lack of archeological evidence, yet one of the most fundimental and important stories of the Old Testement is completely unfounded in reality.
In accordance to archeology, the following flaws exist:
1. Egyptian records show zero indication of plagues, a massive exodus of their labor force, or a complete loss of a large army. None. Zip.
2. There is zero evidence to the existance of a large mobile (2 million large) population wondering around in the desert. Two million people. 40 years. No evidence. Zero.
3. There is no evidence that the Cannanite population received a massive influx of 2 million people, rather there is evidence that the Isrealites were native cannanites.
The problem is if the Exodus story is wrong, does that not invalidate the entire Christian Bible into nothing more than a Dominoed series of myths? Even Jesus uses Exodus as a method of demonstrating God's power......

Is 2 million the right number? I can't remember and that seems a little high, but since I can't remember...
It seems to me one would have to be a fairly literal believer in biblical inerrancy to have to feel cornered on this though.

Yes, the Exodus story is wrong. The Jews were never slaves in Egypt. That also invalidates the Book of Mormon, which treats the story as if it were historical:
*
Mosiah 12:34
34 I am the Lord thy God, who hath brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
*
1 Nephi 5:15
15 And they were also led out of captivity and out of the land of Egypt, by that same God who had preserved them.
*
2 Nephi 3:10
10 And Moses will I raise up, to deliver thy people out of the land of Egypt.
*
2 Nephi 21:16
16 And there shall be a highway for the remnant of his people which shall be left, from Assyria, like as it was to Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.
2 Nephi 20:26
26 And the Lord of Hosts shall stir up a scourge for him according to the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb; and as his rod was upon the sea so shall he lift it up after the manner of Egypt.
*
1 Nephi 17:40
40 And he loveth those who will have him to be their God. Behold, he loved our fathers, and he covenanted with them, yea, even Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; and he remembered the covenants which he had made; wherefore, he did bring them out of the land of Egypt.
It also invalidates the D&C:
*
Doctrine and Covenants 136:22
22 I am he who led the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt; and my arm is stretched out in the last days, to save my people Israel.
So congrats, JSkains. You just invalidated 3/4 of the LDS cannon. :D

This, from the guy who starts a thread to show that there is no evidence to support 2 books that he blindly chooses to believe are historical/factual....LOL....
I agree with your OP completely...there is as much evidence supporting the exodus fable as there is supporting all the Book of Mormon tall tales...

You are using this as an argument that the Book of Mormon can still be true despite the absence of corroborating archeological evidence. The problem is that your argument (which I consider valid) also properly causes us to question how much of the Bible is actually fictional.
You appear to be making your argument to those who would never agree that the Bible is fictional, thus making it an effective argument that the Book of Mormon should be sheltered from a similar criticism.
The problem is that the Exodus story (and Genesis before it) is clearly and obviously fictional.
Your argument is only effective againts a subset of LDS critics: Evangelicals.
