Well faker, you are wrong on this. When I used an Avatar it was one I had written permission to use it from the photographer who owned the copyright.

If you think I am trying to shut this place down you are full of BS. I pointed out donut boys avatar is from Leave it to Beaver - and most likely used without permission. I did not report fatso for using it.

So, post photos but don't be surprised when this place disappears for a bit. Wingding will get tired of the legal crap after 20-40 actions tie him up.

The question that you are avoiding is this:

Are you, Joseph, going to report suspected copyright violations that you find on this board? Or are you harmless - that is, you are serving as a voice of warning but you would never, ever take action against alleged violators?

I'd also point out that MDD is also a ripe playing field. You could go over there and police them if you'd like.

I rarely, if ever, post pix, although I often enjoy them when others do.

My protest is based on principle rather than attachment to pix. Joseph has threatened this board to the point where Shades made a significant change. Yet, a lawyer, Everybody Wang Chung, has clearly explained why Joseph is fundamentally incorrect in his understanding of the consequences of a board like this using copyright pix, and explained that the case would never see the light of day. But for some reason Shades hasn't restored images. Not restoring images gives Joseph a sense of power that he does not deserve to have, because the truth is he's powerless.
