I think if you keep reading it says what local groups were the result of what happened. I always thought it was mean to say someones family or tribe started that way.
I want to fly!

Yeah, the Moabites and the children of Ammon.

I didn't keep track.
Dang, I am sorry!

Many drunks have no memory of what they did when drunk.
Incest usually occurs if the man is drunk, but not always.
The author of Genesis hated Moabites and this was a "way" to insult them, basically saying: "You are the offspring of incest".

just me wrote:In the Old Testament we find the disturbing story of Lot.
In Genesis 19 we learn that Lot is living at the gate of Sodom. Two angels visit him and the townsmen come to try and abuse the strangers. Well, Lot offers his two virgin daughters to be abused by the men instead. That was nice of him.
Then we all know how God was going to kill everyone in Sodom and Gomorrah and was warning Lot so that he could take his family and leave. Wife turned to look back and was turned into salt.
Fast forward a bit and we find Lot and his two virgin daughters in a cave together. Now, being virgins these daughters must have been young. I think it would be fair to say they would have been around 12 and 13. What is amazing is that these two young virgins were so knowledgable about sexual intercourse and ovulation.31 And the firstborn said unto the younger, Our father is old, and there is not a man in the earth to come in unto us after the manner of all the earth:
32 Come, let us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.
33 And they made their father drink wine that night: and the firstborn went in, and lay with her father; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.
34 And it came to pass on the morrow, that the firstborn said unto the younger, Behold, I lay yesternight with my father: let us make him drink wine this night also; and go thou in, and lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.
35 And they made their father drink wine that night also: and the younger arose, and lay with him; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.
Ok, it would be funny if it wasn't so sick and twisted. To me, this is obviously a story about how the "other tribe" was created.
How much wine would need to be ingested by a man to become so intoxicated that he CANNOT feel himself get raped or remember it happening BUT can still get an erection and ejaculate?

I had a clever comment to make here but I think I already posted it.
