Are some people born the wrong gender?

Post by _Rambo »

The radio station in my city had a contest called "The breast summer ever!" People send in their stories and pictures on why they think they deserve a breast augmentation. The winner was surprisingly a male that is trying to become a female.

This got me thinking because a couple of years ago our government stopped funding sex changes. I was happy with that because at the time I was Mormon. Now I really don't know what to think of it all. It just kind of baffles my mind that some guys think they should be girls and some girls think they should be guys.

What do you all think? Is there any science that supports this?

I don't know. But if someone is going to be happier having a sex change (for whatever reason), who am I to say they shouldn't?

Do you think the government should be paying for that sex change? Money coming out of your pocket.

Yes, I do believe there are people who are born the wrong gender and yes, there is science to support it.

I don't know why people don't consider brain development when discussing this topic.

Anyway, here is a quick little wiki about it to help forward this discussion:

It's kind of refreshing to hear the standard party line.

No, I don't think so.

I figured as much, but I write and edit for a living, so usually I don't bother with message board typos. Don't sweat it.

Interesting story, especially considering the city where you live.

I don't think the government should be funding sex change operations.
