I just thought I would start a new thread to make note of something I have observed in the past few months.
Ever since about the time the whole Mormon Apologetics and Misogyny affair came down, I've noticed that Mormon Discussions has steadily increased in popularity while the Mormon Dialogue board (or whatever it's called now) has been steadily decreasing. It used to be when I visited here, there would be only about 3 or 4 logged in users and maybe 5 or 6 "guests". Now it seems like there are always a couple dozen (at least) logged in users and dozens of "guests".
Just the opposite has been happening at the Mormon Dialogue board. Now I often go there and there are only a handful of users, logged in or as guests. It looks to me like they are dying a slow death and this place has become much more active than it ever was before.
I'm not sure what the explanation is, and it could just be a coincidence that it seemed to start when the whole Schryver-bashing thing was going on, or maybe the predictions of the apostates (of mass defections, etc.) are really coming true at last.
What do you think? Has MDB finally triumphed over FAIR/MAD/MDD in the battle for relevance in the world of Mormon-related online forums?

... she said that she was ready to drive up to Salt Lake City and confront ... Church leaders ... while well armed. The idea was ... dropped ... [because] she didn't have a 12 gauge with her.

Re: Bottom Rail on Top?
Currently I see 4 users and 25 guests here.
At the MDD board, currently, there are 15 users and 46 guests.
Maybe you've misperceived things or maybe since the FAIR conference is around the corner things have briefly picked up.
Either way, I don't know where you're getting your information. I peruse both (this one more frequently) and they seem pretty comparable in terms of activity--with a perceived slight eddge to them.

Actually it seems MAD has picked up recently. They were pretty slow for a while.

Interesting. According to alexa.com, MDD is ranked 90,045 in the U.S. and MDB is ranked 76,953. That would seem to confirm my observations that MDB is now a more active site than MDD. Too bad they don't have historical data for both sites. But I think FAIR/MAD/MDD definitely more active than MDB in the past, by a long shot. But not anymore.
