Hope you don't work for one of the Utah/Intermountain law offices that has some business with LDS Inc. or you won't be able to represent shades when they hit this site with DMCA takedown notices and legal action.

Watching the fools on here it is easy to see that day coming.

Joseph, not that it matters one bit, but I own my law firm. I have 14 attorneys and 23 staff that work for me. If you live in Utah, chances are very good that you know my firm. I have been voted by my peers as one of the Legal Elite in Utah for the last 9 years.

I don't tell you this to brag, but to let you know that I speak from a postition of some authority when I tell you that you don't know squat about litigation or copyright law.

Joseph, you are now officially back as the one and only person on my ignore list. God bless, and I wish you all the best.

Joseph wrote:jbabe, what is "original" in your copyright notice that would raise it to any level of copyright protection??? Just like a voters list or phone book, it is not subject to protection.

jbabe? Screw yourself you pathetic little anti-intellectual windbag. I have seen, and the board has seen, that you don't know what the blessed hell you're talking about. What you have to offer in the form of response is passive aggressive butchering of screen names, school yard taunts are your only means of retort.

Ignore is where you will be residing for most of the residents of this little community and that is where you belong. You can get used to the non-response that you are accustomed to on this board evidenced by the numerous mindless threads you create that glean zero response which is what they warrant. So back to talking to yourself for you buddy.

I must say though, that I really have to disagree with Belmont's constant criticism of you for not using the quote feature. Compassion is called for in a case like this. I'm sure it takes an enormous effort just to find the keyboard and post with your head so far up your ass.

Hi there tshirtbroad... too bad your reading comprehension is so poor.

Mr superlawyer sure has some of you convinced he knows something. Not even the US Copyright office agrees with him.

Non-comercial does not mean Non-Liability.

I've tried to help here but some are hell bent on getting the site shut down. Will be a sorry day when it happens - but t-shirtbroads can always move on, can't they? Tel me babe, do you get backaches for hauling that sack of quarters around?

Sure you do boy. Is it you I see at the scene of fender-benders wearing sneakers and chasing the ambulance trying to get people to sign up for their whiplash cases? Or maybe you haunt courtrooms hoping gerry spence will show up so you can touch the fringe on his leather jacket?

Yep, bet you are a real flea bailey in the halls of justice. Probably a fired clerk from a collection agency from your actions and antics on here and disgruntled LDS who is mad because he isn't elders quorum president.

I bet the only bar assn you belong to serves miller on tap! You are probably such a big pot gut drinker they named Moose Drool beer after you.

From Shutterbug Magazine as found on this website: http://www.photoattorney.com/

What kind of damages can
be recovered when a copyright is
properly registered?
(bolding is mine)

Mickey H. Osterreicher: As set forth in
that section under “Statutory Damages,”
“the copyright owner may elect, at any
time before final judgment is rendered,
to recover, instead of actual damages
and profits, an award of statutory
damages for all infringements involved
in the action, with respect to any one
work, for which any one infringer is
liable individually, or for which any
two or more infringers are liable jointly
and severally, in a sum of not less than
$750 or more than $30,000 as the court
considers just.
“For the purposes of this subsection,
all the parts of a compilation or
derivative work constitute one work.”
It also goes on to state that “in a case
where the copyright owner sustains
the burden of proving, and the court
finds that infringement was committed
willfully, the court in its discretion may
increase the award of statutory damages
to a sum of not more than $150,000.
In a case where the infringer sustains
the burden of proving, and the court
finds that such infringer was not aware
and had no reason to believe that his or
her acts constituted an infringement of
copyright,
the court in its discretion may
reduce the award of statutory damages to
a sum of not less than $200.”

*******************************

You will note that all who have been party to these discussions have knowledge of their status as infringers - as your own posts show it. The history of your posts would be introduced in going for the higher amounts.

Ya'can't rely on the wingnut lawyer to pay it for you. The joker said he would take it on for Shades... but will he do it for each of you individually when you post photos that belong to others when you get caught?

What's this? Shades actually reprimanding Joseph?

Joseph will not like this. He may shut the board down again.

Your comprehension skills are lacking. I have not shut this site down. That was the result of fools who steal the intellectual property of others. Thieves is the common term for them.

Um... no.

And your stupid car analogy falls flat on it's face (sort of like you do when you attempt to put one foot in front of the other).

If automobiles were available for free all over the Internet, and taking one did not diminish the quantity of the original owner, I would be taking them all day long!
