What makes being full of love for each other glorious? I believe others here have contested that it won't be so nice if everyone just plain loves each other, but I can't imagine why they assume that. I think it will be glorious. I guess if people assume such love, sans enmity and hate, is not glorious, i can't help.

I agree with you on the importance of relationships, I guess my issue is the vagueness of what those relationship will entail. Not to be condescending but your description mostly is a 'happily ever after' description without much substance. What exactly will we be doing with each other for eternity? Another glorious day in heaven sounds great for someone who has not lived through 584,568,475,924,584,684 of those very same days.

Since no one really knows, maybe we get to create our own eternity?
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

Its totally meant to be different. We weren't what we are supposed to become.

I wonder why opposition is necessary in all things but then it won't be. It would mean opposition is not an eternal principle.
Hmmm. Something to think about.

Why is it not eternal? Why do you assume opposition is not known among those in the eternities?

We really don't know anything about the post-mortal life. Everything is speculation.

Indeed. that's why its best t hope. Without such hope I don't know where I'd be, seriously wouldn't know.

They entail perfect love and respect. what more could you want?

We'll be bringing about happiness and salvation to others, I presume. That will be the epitome of not doing the same thing each day, per se, but will be the epitome of gaining more and more in terms of loving others.

I think this is an apt narrative comparison.

You don't see this as a vague explanation of what we will be doing?

Can you give me a day in the life description of an all powerful eternal being and describe how day one will be different from day 752,345,587,329?

I just don't see how these notions of eternity are appealing.

Sounds like eternal boredom. I like the world I live in now - the cultures, the differences, the discovery. I just love earth life. And if eternal life means dressing in white robes, growing a white beard and eternally shagging my 50 wives to produce infinite offspring, forget it. Gimme a lesser kingdom. I want to drive around in a VW van with my one wife and visit the kids on occasion.

Hey Fence Sitter, sorry to disappoint you. I dn't have much beyond vague descriptions. Why? Because I can't see it or know it. I only trust it'll be grand. I don't know what more one could want then perfect love and respect between each other. Sounds blissfull to me. I struggle to understand how that is unappealing. But people find many things unappealing that I actually enjoy, so what can I say? I love basketball (like Hoops), but others don't see the appeal. I can't make an argument for basketball that'll convince them, so I leave it to personal preference. It appears this is somewhat the same. Maybe that's why there are many mansions.

How do we know that there'll be "perfect love and respect" in heaven? I must have missed that talk.
