Kids whats the point?
So what is the point of having kids?
Sure there cute for a couple of hours but after a while to me they are really annoying. I have actually had parents tell me that they love their kids but they are for sure done having them. Some actually seem to even regret having them. One guy told me to never have kids because they take up all your life. He said he doesn't have a life anymore because it is all about the kids.
I always wanted kids when I was Mormon because that was suppose to be the best way to perpare you to become a god. It gives you a good idea about how much god cares for you as well.
If I don't want kids am I being selfish? Some people say that the biggest problem this world is facing is over population. Maybe the people that are having a ton of kids are the selfish ones.
Instead of having kids maybe one can focus on helping other people out more. Or they can just do whatever the hell they want without having to much responsiblities in their lives.
Then again when you are old it's usually the kids who take care of you and that is who you are closest to. Are people without kids lonely?

We are biologically driven to pro-create. The point is continuation of the species. :)

I think it depends on your personality. For me, having a child has been by far the most rewarding experience of my life. I don't begrudge any minute spent with my child, even when I'm cleaning up messes (including diapers) or dealing with tantrums. My child is my life.
However, I don't think it's like that for everyone. Your mileage may vary. My philosophy is if you don't want a child, you probably should go with that and not have one. It's a huge life-changer. If you're not ready for that, there's no reason to force yourself to do it.

It's nice coming home to kids that want to play with you.

The add to the experiences you have in life. The net add is usually a positive in my opinion. I do think there are diminishing returns. I have had five, if I were to do it over and could some how combine them I would only have had two, maybe three. I do still enjoy them as adults and I am enjoying the grand kids.
We had our two year old grandson over the other day and I set up some play tents a neighbor had given me that are in the shape of different cars and trucks. They filled the whole living room floor. As I carried him into the living room to see the tents for the first time I got to watch the eyes get big and three time in a row hear a quick intake of breath from him as he took in the scene. I would not trade that moment for anything.
I won't talk about the dirty diaper incident later on.

You are aware that if you don't have kids, by evolutionary principles you are admitting that religious belief is more evolutionarily adaptive than is non-belief?
Assuming of course all of the plumbing checks out (i.e. there isn't a biological reason you aren't having kids).

So is raping as many females as possible.
God belief is for people who don't want to live life on the universe's terms.

Children are the only tangible evidence that an individual existed.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

Excellent point. I procreate therefore I am. Can't think of a better way to pass along all my flaws.
