False Assumptions always lead to FALSE conclusions

Post by _daheshism »

Jesus said "Do not judge". He did not mean "Don't condemn evil, don't condemn hypocrisy, don't condemn a man having sex with his own daughter". He did not mean that. He meant: "Do not come to a conclusion (judgment) based upon false assumptions". It means "Do not be presumptuous".

Mormons are the most presumptuous people I've ever known.

A "voice" told me in 1981 that Mark Hofmann was a 'liar and atheist'. I told everyone I could about this.

TBMs conclused I was lying or delusional because: "The Brethren are Prophets, and they have the Spirit of Discernment, and thus nobody can ever FOOL them, so Darrick must be lying or he must be delusional. What he is saying CANNOT be true."

Well, history proved, it WAS true. False assumptions (i.e. Mormon leaders cannot be fooled because they have the Spirit of Discernment) lead to a false conclusion (false judgment).

Sunstone Mormons said, "Hofmann is discovering truth! And, since nobody is psychic, and nobody has psychic abilities, it follows that Darrick heard no voice, and is lying, or, he is delusional."

Again, false assumptions ("nobody has psychic abilities") lead to a false conclusion (false judgment).

When I told bishops that my roommate was having sex with dozens of young single Mormon women and girls, I was told I was a "liar" or "delusional" because...."Mormon women would NEVER have sex outside of marriage" so it follows that, I must be lying or delusional!

Again, false assumptions ("Mormon women NEVER have sex of any kind outside of marriage") leads to a false conclusion (false judgment).

"Do not judge" does not mean "Don't condemn unethical or hypocritical or evil behavior". It means "DO NOT come to a conclusion based upon false assumptions".

And Mormons did that with me so many times I cannot count. I never did that to others. Some Mormons "mocked" me. At least three were bishops. Again, the enemies of Jesus mocked Him all the time, but He never mocked them. I have been around "insane" people, but I never felt any urge to "mock" them. Instead, I respected them, as I respect all people: until they disrespect me, and I turn the other cheek, and they continue to disrespect me.

I held my hand out to one bishop, and he said, "I'm not going to shake your hand. Earn my respect first, and then I'll think about shaking my hand!" I think just the opposite: "I respect everybody, until they earn my disrepsct, and even then, I'll give you a chance to repent."

Yes. You've proved antiMormonism false in one fell swoop.

Actually, on a strictly logical notion, true conclusions can follow from false premises.

I'd be upset that you're a snitch, but I don't mind because the bishop never believe you.

I do, however have trouble when those Mormon girls feel guilty and confess. In fact, that makes my sexcapades so difficult I sometimes have to retreat from the real world back into the imaginary world of your head.
