6 Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” 7 Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong.
Yeah, God said it was okay.
8 In Lystra there sat a man who was lame. He had been that way from birth and had never walked. 9 He listened to Paul as he was speaking. Paul looked directly at him, saw that he had faith to be healed 10 and called out, “Stand up on your feet!” At that, the man jumped up and began to walk.
Ditto.
I've said things like that myself. I don't do it unless commanded.
You must have the New Testament translation with the extra verses inserted, because that's not in what I posted.

Indeed, understanding that sometimes they healed and sometimes they didn't led me to this conclusion. If they healed everyone surely the end of disease throughout the Mediterranean world would have been recorded somewhere.
I guess putting one and one together might be difficult for one of your ilk so hopefully this clarifies things.
have a nice day.

That's quite a leap.
Anything to explain why you're unable to heal anyone vis a vis the power of God, I guess.

Nice try though.
I guess Mormons just don't have faith in Jesus then, because no one is being healed anymore.
No one you would know anyways.

That would more than bother me, SPS.
My experience with Mormons generally has been that they usually wait until all medical procedures have failed before requesting a blessing.
So I guess the LDS-based lack of faith in priesthood blessings extends beyond just the priesthood holders.
Also, this discussion impacts a broader area of spiritual gifts which Mormons were big on in their first few decades, but have since phased out for some reason.
The idea is there that these things can happen, but it seems few really expect them to transpire.
All the Best!

Oh, but I have. Well, God did but I was the instrument. Just, like I said, no one you know.

But I don't believe it was the action of an invisible mystical force so I'm certainly not going to try to prove that.
Claiming you can fly like superman doesn't mean anything if you can only do it while on an airplane.
Except the two are in no way analogous.
Nice try again.
