Nice wheels...
From Torquenews.com
Audi has just created a new sedan for those people that get shot at on a daily basis, or need some extra protection here and there. That being said, even those that don’t need it will want to get a piece of this gorgeously stealth A8 L Security.
The Audi A8 L Security is created in a heavily guarded section of Audi’s top-secret workshop and is basically an armored vehicle with four rings on the front. The vehicle has been certified by the German government for compliance with the VR 7 ballistic protection standard. In short, this means that the sedan can take rifle rounds like a champ, as well as numerous explosive bits such as hand grenades and anti-tank mines.
Obviously, this type of protection will add some weight to the normal Audi A8 L, but not to worry, as the Security has a few tricks of its armor-plated sleeves. Under the hood lives a 6.3-liter W12 with 500 horsepower and 431 pound-feet of torque. That engine is connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission that works in unison to get the big Audi A8 L Security up to 60 miles per hour in just seven seconds.
This isn’t the first time that Audi has created a Security version of the A8 L. Back in 2007, the old A8 was given this sort of treatment and a price tag of $685,000.
There has been word on the 2011 Audi A8 L Security’s price, but chances are it won’t be cheap, especially if it comes with Audi’s $6,000 sound system option.
Other toys include the ability to completely detach the door with one button and a fire extinguishing system that is activated by heat sensors or by the push of a button. If one happens to be in a chemical war, the Audi A8 L Security packs an emergency fresh air supply. Audi has not stated how long the air is suppose to last for, but they did say it would be long enough to get those inside out of harms way.
Why is this relevant?
Well this is the new car for President Monson as seen at the Days of 47 Parade.
Is this a better use of $1million tithing than say...feeding people in Africa?

Just saw this.
You are joking, right?
If not, please provide references.
(The Germans are pretty good at this. I was nominally involved in the specification and procurement of an up-armored BMW 7 Series a few years ago. Turned out it was for a minor figure in the Russian mafia here in South Florida. In my experience, most folks who buy these kinds of vehicles are not individuals that one would necessarily want for a next door neighbor.)

Please provide a link and a purchase agreement. For all you know, the car was donated.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

Awwww, if only the records about what the Church spends money on were in the public domain...
Harmony, try praying about it and see what feelings you are given on the subject.

In other words, you don't know diddly about it.
