when has porn ever been anything other than sex? When were people ever watching porn for the story line, or the dialogue, or the plot, or anything other than viewing and/or masturbating to various forms of sex?

though if whyme is referring to 2g1c, tbgrl, goatse, then there is a point.

He say that like it's a bad thing. Why is it that lust or sexual desire is the only human emotion we are supposed to feel guilty over?

I would say Skiing on Sunday is still really bad but porn just pushed the envelope. Skiing on Sunday didn't get reduced it just fell into an eclipse.

Zee.

Here is the thing: Would you want your daughter to work in the porn business? Probably not. And if the answer is no. Why? The next time one watches a porn movie, they should ask themselves: would I want my daughter to do this? Is it degrading? And then, is the LDS church correct?

Well, I would not want any of my children to go into porn, nor would I want them to join the US military -- not sure which is worse though.

I have found outside the church that most women my age really don't have a problem with men looking at porn. A lot of these women look at porn themselves. They just expect guys to do it because that is what guys do and they know that there is really not to many guys that don't do it or they are just lying about not doing it.

Which shows just how far we have come along such values being embraced. However ask these women if they want their husbands to be a porn viewer and I would think that most would say no. By the way, an interesting barometer of this is the MTV show Room Raiders. If the women who is searching the bedroom discover porn in the guy's room or on the internet, these guys are usually not chosen and porn is the reason why.

Kinda gave up MTV once they stopped showing music videos and switched to silly programs instead. What is this "Room Raider" show anyway? Sounds a bit on the questionable side for some reason, but I may be wrong.

Also, women see porn as an occasional distraction or something to do for fun with the husband/boyfriend. Of course they don't want someone who looks at it 24/7 any more than they want a guy who eats junk food all the time -- eventually you will be stuck with a toothless walrus. Is this a sign of women enjoying their sexuality more or a sign of moral decay? I suppose it is a combination of both in a way, although I suppose an LDS couple who have sex a lot and occasionally look at porn together probably will stay married and raise a functional family rather than a couple that has a guilt complex over all things sexual and where the wife snoops to find out if her husband is looking at porn on the internet especially since the ungrateful jerk gets sex twice a month whether his wife wants to give it or not.

I need to apologize for loosely defining porn they way I have on this board. I'm sorry I ever suspected swimsuit models were porn during my teen years and I'm sorry for continuing this definition as satire on this board. It is sort of degrading (though I'm joking) to refer to women as porn even though their intentions are only to display clothing.

But I love looking at nice clothes on people. Maybe I'm addicted!

These are business qualities we can use along with our Day Planners. If you control someone's anger, what do you have? Just a bunch of placid pacifists. No, sex is where it is at.

Thanks, but I was asking why me how he knows.

Runtu wrote:A good friend of mine was confronted by his father, who shoved a 5-page, handwritten rant about porn into his hands and basically called him to repentance. My friend asked his father why he was so concerned about pornography. "Well, that's why you left the church, isn't it?" Apparently, the family had been speculating on his reasons and had settled on "It must be porn."

That never happened in my ward(s). It must not be true.
