I hope she is able to manage the poor child better now, and if she can't he should be with someone who can. I also hope she didn't do too much damage to him already. It's hard to imagine how anyone could have imagined that screaming threats and hot sauce were parenting.
Good thing we have Dr. Phil around when the restored gospel fails.
Ah, she goes on Dr. Phil and everything is butterflies and lollypops. Give me a break -- some cute music and nice camera angles do not give me sympathy for this woman in the least. I put her in the same category as the out-of-control cops you can see beating the heck out of innocent people, or violating their constitutional rights, in hundreds of videos on YouTube. Authoritarian parents turn out famous people -- Bundy, Manson, Hitler, Stalin...What she needs is a few days in jail so she knows she can't con people by pretending to be all sugar and spice on a TV program, and then have to take parenting classes coupled with cognitive behavioral therapy to alter her mindset that worships the concept of "might makes right."
I don't have much sympathy for her, but she did seek help and that counts for something. Or maybe she thought she would get nothing but sympathy. Hard to say. I think she is just a woman with poor coping skills who got over her head in a situation with an emotionally disordered child that she couldn't handle.
