Nightlion, go have a couple of stiff drinks. You could really use them. I promise, you'll feel the warm fuzzies.
I'm the apostate your bishop warned you about.

In High School I was drinking too much and puked and passed out. But before I did I got a spiritual rush of urgency to go about teaching some of the young girls what love is. What ever I said made an impression as I heard about it later. That was the discovery of the preacher in me. Providentially, I think this distracted me enough to keep me from dieing of alcohol poisoning. I never drank like a fish before. I could usually hold my liquor and even drive home. Something else could have been going on that I still wonder about.

The book itself is not your best selling point. It's really hard to see from the book what you're talking about. You've got to get people out to that mountain and explain it to them the way you did with Mike and I. It's the beauty of the mountain, paired with your personal enthusiasm and sincerity that will make your first converts. JMO.

Almost I persuadeth thee huh? Yah, but a book is so much easier. Isaiah's prophecy is that they come swiftly to see the ensign on the top of the mountain. You might be right that seeing is the only way. Lots of my pictures were not high res.

I was willing to pay a professional graphic artist to render my sightings and then his wife got all evangelical and made him refuse to do the work. I got discouraged and did everything myself. Big oops I guess.

And I preach too much and that's off putting. But if I just sold the mountain and the world chased it down, and then suddenly gave out that I am Mr. Zion it would come off opportunistic. Fished for too much validation. I'll make a scenic guide book without preaching. It would take a year to get all great pics. And then get a pro to do it. Sheesh.

You're doing what you believe in, James. Few people get to experience that.

As a teacher I know that I can never know just which students I've made a lasting impact on, just who has learned anything that will linger beyond the semester. But I keep teaching because I have to. I have to do something against the ignorance, I have to try against all odds to contribute to a better future...

Could have been the air we breathed, in days bygone, coming down from off The Apocalrock.

People hoping to make the next "in" with the LDS masses, ala, Deseret Book style, one more book on Joseph Smith, this one with color photos and footnotes.

You need some holy hardware, a polyresin Apocalrock, laser imaged crystal, or something done up nicely in porcelain by Hansen Classics.

I sat in the stuff for more years than I care to admit. It will rot your soul. Just get out now.

Sunstone will rot your soul?

Dunno, never been, but I have been in plenty of LDS conventions, gatherings, etc. where the focus is LDS publishing, and Mormon speshulness.

I really can't stomach it. I feel sorry for anyone who has to sit there all day steeped in that.

Wow. I've never been to even one. 'Course, it's a stretch to get to stake conference, so I guess that's no surprise.
