A church video fighting porn
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gWQ5dPei ... ture=share
Did anyone else throw up in their mouth after watching this?
Most married men I know watch porn and they seem to be good fathers and husbands. It's pretty sad that this video shows that you are a bad husband or father if you watch porn.
I've told some church members that I think it is a worse sin not to be a nice person than it is to watch porn. Most have disagreed with me. Although props to my Dad he agrees with me.

You should read Norman Doidge's The Brain that Changes Itself. There is evidence that porn damages our sex life with our partners. "A number of these men also reported something else om passing that caught my attention. They reported increasing difficulty in being turned on by their actual sexual partners, spouses and girlfriends, though they still considered them objectively attractive",.....I got the impression that any sexual creativity these men had was dying and that they were becoming addicted to Internet porn."
Hilary Clinton " I won the places that represent two-thirds of America's GDP.I won in places are optimistic diverse, dynamic, moving forward"

Well yeah if porn is getting in the way of your sex life then you have a problem. Don't get me wrong there can be negative consequences to porn. Just like most things in life too much of one thing usually causes problems.

Porn is pretty much cheating on your wife in a Mormons eye.

I think it is cheating no matter whether you are a Mormon or any other religion

Re: A church video fighting porn
It seems somewhat unnatural in and of itself to be watching people have sex. We all seem to have a natural desire for privacy during such times, and I would assume so do the individuals who participate in pornography to some degree. Yet they are driven to go against their instincts for money. That's lousy.
Secondly, the porn industry at large is often involved in ugly and corrupt business practices, as well as abhorrent treatment of its "performers." Those who buy and view pornography are supporting this.
Thirdly, pornography most often presents sex as something void of love, which in my opinion is a tragic misrepresentation.
However, I'm not sure the church is really so concerned with these things. There are simply too many similar ethical problems in other areas of industry that the church never addresses. So what makes porn so significant?

Yes other people view it as cheating too. I would say it would be mostly religious people.

Well I guess that is your opinion.

I've heard walmart sucks to work for as well. My mom won't watch a cirque du soleil performance because they have a nude show. However; she does watch a channel that sometimes has nudity in it. She doesn't watch those shows with nudity but she does watch that channel sometimes.

You have to be in love to have sex?

I think the church harps on porn because its just another control mechanism for them to use on you. You always hear you left the church because of a porn problem.
