The 38th Anniversary is Water!
Today in celebration of our anniversary or what we like to call "sticking it out" for 38 years (and believe me when I tell you that some years were loooooooooonger than others), Jersey Boy is giving me water.
Nope, not Hawaii. :-( Look, don't get your hopes up!
Nope, not a cruise. Get real, okay? We're hitting him up for that next year!
Here's the back story and no, it's not romantic unless you think that pain is romantic in which case, you're too perverted to interact with me.
I, being of a "certain" age, have noticed a lack of shall we say, flexibility. Okay, I have arthritis brewing here and there. Arthritis is not fun. Some days you feel perfectly fine and other days you feel well, "creaky" and weird. For the past few years, Ibuprofen has been my best friend. I go through bottles of it like Paris Hilton goes through hair styles.
Not any more!
This summer, for the first time in two years, I had a real summer. You know the kind where you don't have to do anything at any particular time, do what you want, when you want to do it?
So, I went swimming in a pool and did it quite a lot. And I noticed that after a swim (maybe 6 lengths of the pool or so) I was totally and utterly pain and creaky-free!
I mean FREE!!!! Like a real person, not of a "certain" age and not downing handful's of Ibuprofen.
So, Jersey Boy is giving me a club membership to a fitness center with a POOL that has a schedule that will allow me to swim perfectly in combination with my work hours!
Whoa!!!
Goodbye Ibuprofen! Nice knowing you!
This Jersey Girl is goin' swimming!!!
