How much does it add to the issue to speculate, that in addition to the mundane natural causes involved, that invisible biting demons are also congruently responsible for earthquakes, in ways that are immeasurable and undetectable?
Ummmmmmm........who outside of Jack Chick believes this?
Didn't God cause numerous earthquakes in the Book of Mormon?
when believers want to give their claims more weight, they dress these claims up in scientific terms. When believers want to belittle atheism or secular humanism, they call it a "religion". -Beastie

It is not specifically said that he did. The timing on two (the prison break/mass conversion led by Nephi and the earthquake that heralded the death of the Savior) were too convenient to be coincidences. So either God caused them (possible) or God used his omniscience to coordinate them with other events (more likely).
In either case this is not the same as invisible biting devils causing earthquakes which I do not believe in. I don't think devils have ever been allowed that much power to influence events. If they had been life on earth would be much more hellish.

The idea of an organizing God with a plan stepping in occasionally to nudge life the way he desires it to go is very similar to invisible biting devils causing earthquakes?
I disagree with your assessment.

Great, then it should be easy for you to explain why they're not analogous.

Either god caused the earthquake, or god caused the people to be wicked. Which is it?

It's self-evident. I could try to explain why red isn't blue to you but when you do your "fake ignorance" act it's pointless to try to show you anything.
Maybe I give you too much credit. Maybe it's not an act?

False dichotomy.

In other words, you've got nothing. Just as I thought. You lose!

I'm just going by what you said. The Book of Mormon account said Jesus was the one who killed the people with natural disasters. You say it's possible God might have arranged matters so that the destruction happened at just the right time - that would mean that god caused them to be wicked.
So which is it? Or do you have a third BS theory?

Because you're too dense to understand the difference between God and little biting devils?
