And with just that I understand that they are growing faster then the LDS.

The flds should probably use the paternity test that determins the sex of the fetus.

On a side note: A salt lake tribune photographer was rubbing on me, trying to get the goods. My story made it into slug but never the trib.

The trib needs to get back to their roots and hit the Mormon church where it hurts.

Everything I see posted from any US news outlet seems intent to arouse divisive feelings. Maybe that's not representative of all the content, but it seems like it's the only stuff that is passed around.

Maybe it reflects on the maturity level of the local readers?

The comparisons between Jeffs and Smith, whom he constantly invoked in his defense, are obvious and begging to be made. This was an article completely justified and not reflective of a desire to incite controversy.
I would not have batted an eye had I seen it in any other paper. But it seemed remarkable that a Utah paper would publish it. Hence my question about whether or not the Trib is kind of seen as an "anti-Mormon" newspaper in Utah.
We hate to seem like we don’t trust every nut with a story, but there’s evidence we can point to, and dance while shouting taunting phrases.

Thus my admonition to you not to hold your breath waiting for Deseret News to weigh in. The fact that Deseret News is unlikely to run an article on the (obvious) comparison of Smith with Jeffs doesn't mean that such a comparison is not valid, not of general interest or does not convey important information about the early days of Mormonism. It simply means DN understands that it is better to steer clear of such topics in order not to upset its dwindling readership with inconvenient truths.

It is not anti, but it is articles are more geared to the non-member or more liberal LDS crowd.
