I'm not really interested in giving you a CFR for that. Take it as my opinion, if you disagree--you disagree.
I wanted to see if you could bring up an example, since you did for one you view as a critic. I notice that some tend to think that one side is more guilty of it then the other side, and yes you have been guilty of this as well. They usually ignore much of the animosity coming from their side and notice it more easily coming from what they view as the other side. I was just curious if you could do more then just say the opposite is true.

Many many disbelieve certain claims of the LDS church while believing some. Other may disagree with some of the LDS truth claims while seeing the church as a good group of people, and some may view critics or member as all bad. While I agree with the article asbestosman brought up, we need to make sure we don't carry it to far. I think many positive things about the church and especially the members, whom represent many friends and family, and even myself.
Okay. Good for you Themis.
Love ya tons, Stem
I ain't nuttin'. don't get all worked up on account of me.

I think you're internalizing criticisms too much. The harshest criticisms are really directed toward apologists and general authorities, not average Joe members.
I'm pretty much in agreement with Abman on the last ofyour claims here. Also, its not really the point if'n the painting of others that goes on here is attempts at painting others "bad" (in quotation marks to highlight your apparent issue with my take on it all).

If the website is correct, that is largely an exercise in futility.
Not really. I think you and stem may be interpreting their results as being more like absolutes. While we all have difficulty in these areas, and I think their are evolutionary reasons why, we also have the ability to change. If not we could never have survived as a sciences. How many have gone from belief in LDS truth claims to non-belief because of the criticism of others. Some have changed fairly quickly while other have taken many years. I have seen this in my own life and those around me, and certainly I am not divorced of these tendencies that afflict us all.
Right now I find myself as part of the church and not part of it, if that makes sense.

Hmm, I don't see apologists or General Authorities as having much in common with typical Mormons. Apologists are essentially Mormon heretics trying to save Mormonism, and GAs are kind of spoiled royalty.
