Hmmm...that seems awfully "disingenuous"...

disingenuous |ˌdisinˈjenyoōəs|
adjective
not candid or sincere, typically by pretending that one knows less about something than one really does.

i'll give you the "not sincere" part, since it was indeed meant to be ironic. but i'm definitely not pretending that i know less about what i've said or what you've said than i really do. whereas you were pretending to not see why your comparison of BY to Hitler is almost completely unsubstantial. i say "almost completely" because, as we've both observed, they do have some things in common. but the qualities they share are unremarkable in that they are shared by a great many leaders in different times and places. that being the case, by associating BY with Hitler, you knowingly imply similarities beyond those basic qualities, but then insist that you only meant that they could both be considered "unparalleled leaders". uh huh.

what i don't get is why your trying so hard to defend a position that you knew from the start was ridiculous.
-"I was gonna say something but I forgot what it was."
-"Well, it must not have been very important or you wouldn't've forgotten it!"
-"Oh, I remember. I'm radioactive."

You continue to agree with me and then act like I said something different than you are saying...Did you actually read this thread before poking your nose in? Or are you saying you can read my mind and that you know what I really meant when I compared AH's leadership abilities to BY's?

What i don't get is why you keep agreeing with me but continue to say that my position is ridiculous...Again, the fact that you think its "unremarkable" to be an "unparalleled leader" (which we all agree that both BY and AH were) doesn't change anything that i posted....How about this....

Here, Just for you:

"Aside from a few potentially-racist comments and some doctrinal curiosities, I think Adolf Hitler, (and a great many leaders in different times and places) was(were) an unparalleled leader..."

Does that make you feel better?

Hitler is so cliché. Try mixing it up a bit with Augusto Pinochet, Ferdinand Marcos, Michelle Bachmann, etc....
