5 Degrees of Daniel Peterson

Post by _Everybody Wang Chung »

All of these threads about DCP have made me realize how connected he really is. Forget 5 Degrees of Kevin Bacon, it's time to play 5 Degrees of DCP. For example:

Gwyneth Paltrow

1. Gwyneth was in the movie "Possession" with Aaron Eckhart;

2. Aaron Eckhart was roommates with film Director Neil Labute while a student at BYU;

3. Neil Labute took "Introduction to Arabic" at BYU from Daniel Peterson.

If you really think about it, there is nobody in the world that is separated from Daniel Peterson by more than 5 degrees. I've been able to connect DCP to Lady Gaga, 50 Cent and Merl Haggard in less than 5 degrees. Now try it yourselves.

Hmph. I never thought of that, but yeah, you may be right.

Maybe those two *are* demons.

1. Peterson is a child of God. Lucifer is a child of God. Ergo, Peterson and Lucifer are brothers.

Or, put another way:

2. Jesus is Peterson's elder brother, spiritually speaking. Jesus is the spirit brother of Lucifer. Ergo, Peterson is the spirit brother of Lucifer.

Thus, Peterson is evil. Which was to be proved. QED.

Child's play.

(Although it seems a bit redundant to drive for several hours to see eruptions, boiling steam, and a volcanic hot spot when Kevin Graham is already here.) LOL.

Hey Peterson, now that you are wasting your time in this cesspool, will you take a moment to address your misuse of sources as brought up by Stak?

There is a missing premise here:

3. Persons who are the spirit brothers of persons who are evil are themselves evil.

Without that, the logic set out above does not work.

But (3) cannot be true. For, if we assume (3) to be true, then it follows that since Jesus is the spirit brother of Lucifer, and Lucifer is evil, then Jesus is evil. Which is absurd. Therefore (3) is false. Therefore it does not follow that Peterson is evil.

Nice try but no cigar, or forked tail for that matter.

And as DCP well knows, QED < "quod erat demonstrandum", means "Which was to be proved". Several joules of energy will have been wasted by this profligate redundancy in the above statement. (Ermm ... oh dear.)

The focus, of course, was on "5 Degrees of Daniel Peterson," which is covered in the two numbered propositions -- not on Peterson's character, which is universally recognized to be reprehensible. (Or, anyhow, as universally recognized as it needs to be for practical purposes here.) His acknowledged depravity was merely tossed in as a bonus.

And, anyway, what's logic got to do with any of this?

Ah ha!

I always had a feeling you thought logic was irrelevant.

Sorry. It was the QED stuff that misdirected me. I should have known that if a poster on this board ever finds an apparent fault in one of DCP's posts, that is because he or she is too stupid to have appreciated what he was really talking about.

Gosh darn it ...

Why does this picture keep coming back to me at such moments as these?

Let's think, you knock them over, and then ...
