From Bruce:

And all I can say to that is that it is time disbelieving people repented and got in line and believed in a living, modern prophet. Forget everything that I have said, or what President Brigham Young or President George Q. Cannon or whomsoever has said in days past that is contrary to the present revelation. We spoke with a limited understanding and without the light and knowledge that now has come into the world.

There you have it, straight from Elder McConkie: shut the hell up and get in line. No apology necessary, because they spoke with limited understanding (as if God wasn't talking to them every day...) I especially like the "forget everything I have said".

(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

Yeah, that's pretty awful, harm. How are the members of the church to take anything the prophet says seriously when the church often recants it years later?

Okay, nevermind.
