He seemed like a nice guy. He may have realized it is a futile effort. Mormon apologetics achieves the best results in a moderated format among the faithful to keep those members who are questioning their testimony from leaving the fold. Once apologists venture outside to rumble with former members and non-members, they don't fare to well. They are simply outnumbered and outgunned. I hope he and the others eventually come back. It can't be fun always being in the minority, but without a good number of defenders, this forum will turn into RfM, and that would suck.

Yep, the forum needs a balance. Playing tennis alone is a bummer. No one hits the ball back.

I hope this is not a trend.

I was holding back, given how much Nehor sucked both as a person and as a poster, I could say a lot more. I’d rather have Nehor waste his brain cells huffing glue than rolling that pallid face across the keyboard to share his version of “the gospel” here.

But hey, don’t let me stop you from talking about Nehor like he was some estranged co-worker who hung himself last night in the garage, because God knows, deleting a message board account calls for a wake and a round of anecdotes about the deceased.

Space is right, he’ll be back.

:)!!!!

I suspect he will be back.

We lost Dr. Peterson and now we've lost Nehor for however long he wishes to remain gone.

Like I said earlier, I didn't agree with Nehor on ANYTHING. At the same time, I think he will be missed. His often undefendable comments added spice and good reasons to respond on the board. If we all agree, the board has no purpose.

I don't see him as a co-worker who hung himself in his garage (I've had that happen). That being said, I am definitely up to a good wake with lots of libations.

I come not to praise The Nehor, nor to bury him.

I insist, until proven otherwise, that my charge of the LDS Church supplanting the gospel of Jesus Christ with the cult of FOLLOW THE PROPHET is the real and never to be admitted reason.

It is so fundamentally obvious. They are turning on their heels like those two missionaries in Brigham City Saturday night. When a cult gets named the dysfunction inflames.

Nightlion, you're waxing poetic! I like that! Please explain your comment about the two missionaries in Brigham city. I don't think I heard that story.

When people like Nehor leave, it lessens this board. That is why it is important not to let the ruder posters drive away those with a unique voice. You will end up with the blandness of the Mormon Dialogue board with their "my way or the highway" approach to moderation, although this time it will be due to lack of restraint on the part of some posters who disagree with the Mormon point of view in an unnecessarily crude manner.

I, for one, will miss his wit, and his perspective.

Not me. I hate him and hope he never comes back. I hope he takes his Jesus with him too, and everything else. God, I hate him.

He hasn't entirely "left." He's been watching the reaction to this thread, in fact. (As have--interestingly enough--Dr. Peterson, ttribe, and Ray A.):
