Dr Scratch, I fear that this cannot be true.

On the thread entitled 'Has Provo checked out', when I said this:
and were he not still active on other forums.

Liz responded with this:

Have you seen him post on MAD since he left here? I haven't.

What other forums has he been active on since he left here?

Giving the impression that her good friend had given up message boards altogether due to time pressures, rather than just the one that was asking him questions difficult to answer.

I'm sure Liz wouldn't have said that if Dr P was posting on her website...Liz?

I only have time (and interest) for one post today. DCP has in fact not been posting on Liz's board very often at all. His last post before today (Sept.12) was August 2; more than five weeks.

Just thought I'd clear that up.

I remember posting about personal insults on this forum and if something were not done about it, the active Mormons would leave. And I think that this is now happening.

It doesn't take much to be repectful of others when it comes to internet posting. We just need to be who we would be if we were speaking to people in person. I seriously doubt that the insulters are so insulting in the non-cyberworld.
I intend to lay a foundation that will revolutionize the whole world.

whyme, have these people withdrawn their activity on this board because of personal insults?

As I understand it, personal insult was the main thing that Dr Peterson, for one, responded to.
He can complain elsewhere all he likes, the fact is that he gave as good as he got on that front.
What a shame that he avoided substantial discussion like the plague.

The Nehor very rarely posted anything of substance on here.

Mr Schryver...well, the 'personal insult' argument really doesn't work there, now does it. And in fact, he still bobs in now and then to demonstrate his cunning linguistic abilitities.

It's total BS and always has been in my opinion. Quite a few have had their accounts destroyed and it not only destroys the ability to search and quote mine but we aren't able to see that Nehor had 10k plus posts on this board (and that other people had many thousands as well) via the members search + post count. If people want to lock their accounts that is fine, but total deletion is Bull crap.

Well I guess if MAD ever completely dies we can have a board war with the handful posting at liz's board.

Just another vulture checking in, my eyes eager with greed, as I descend to feast on The Nehor's bloated carcass. Bye Nehor, I would say I will miss you but we both know I won't, so that would just be awkward. I could say you seemed like a nice guy, but all I ever saw you do was act like a douche, so that won't work either. Ummmmm take care of yourself, I guess that could work.... maybe Stak said it best, meh.

The degree to which several on that board seem to be fueled by sheer personal hatred astonishes me. (There were the usual suspects, of course, but I'll admit that a particularly vicious remark from LDSToronto caught me by surprise.)

Wait a second.... The Nehor reaps what he sows. A quick search of this messageboard would show that the The Nehor is in the same league as Pahoran and Droopy - mean-spirited, disrespectful, and insulting. He's well-earned whichever monikers and epithets come his way and his absence is welcome.

Perhaps the fact that anyone is surprised that *I* would be vicious towards The Nehor is an indicator that a) I don't attack all that often and b) The Nehor is capable raising the ire of an otherwise jovial and easy-going Canadian.

First of all, your reading comprehension is off. I was not referring to everyone on MDB as vultures. I was referring to those who drove the Nehor to leaving as vultures. If you fall into that category, then so be it.

Secondly, I created an invitation only board. It is my right to do so, just as it is yours. I made no announcement of this board because I did not want to hurt people's feelings.

Now that Scratch has somehow discovered it, though, let me say that it is an invitation only board. Screech, you are not invited.

There are some of you who did receive an invitation. If you did not, and would like to know what my board is about, and participate, please PM me. Otherwise, I would kindly ask that you leave our little corner of the Internet world alone.

And, yes, Dan does participate, albeit rather infrequently, on my board.

schreech wrote:"I'm curious as to what the vultures have to say. LOL" - liz

I had no opinion about you either way before i read that board, but reading your posts on that site made me think significantly less of you....Is this what internet LDS believers do now? Seems pretty manic/two-faced/pathetic...I guess supporting Mormonism requires "believers" to do pretty desperate things INCLUDING starting a different message board where they can commiserate with other momo loons/"defenders" about the critics inability to buy the bulls%$& the believers vomit forth...Maybe DP will give you a MI gold star and, MAYBE, now, you can actually get that time in your "goddess-suite" with the nehor that you seem to, often, allude to...Good luck with that...

I love that you called everyone on this site "vultures"...Definitely christ-like....
