Liz wants to have her cake and eat it too. It's fine for liz to start this thread on mormondiscussions and, from the safety of her private perch on the internet, use this thread for the amusement of her hangers-on. Yet, respond to this behaviour, and liz cries foul, pleading for her quaint little community to be left to exist in peace.

That's just dicfacious.

liz3564 wrote:First of all, your reading comprehension is off. I was not referring to everyone on MDB as vultures. I was referring to those who drove the Nehor to leaving as vultures. If you fall into that category, then so be it.

Secondly, I created an invitation only board. It is my right to do so, just as it is yours. I made no announcement of this board because I did not want to hurt people's feelings.

Yes, it must be my reading comprehension that is off when i read:

""I'm curious as to what the vultures have to say. LOL"

I don't really see any qualifiers there so maybe you imagined them....

I also don't recall suggesting that you didn't have the right to start your own board...I just thought it seemed like a fairly desperate, somewhat two-faced, attempt to suck up to internet momo-defenders (and the nehor)....but hey, you have the "right" to do so....

by the way - what happened to my other post? Why was it moved?

Mormonism is a hot issue with exmormons, postmormons and with interent Mormons. The feelings can run sky high and it doesn't seem to get any prettier as time moves on. The majority of exer boards control through banning anyone who may have a positive thought about the LDS church. No free debate there.

The evangelicals do so also. And the catholic taliban site usually ends up banning the Mormons eventually, althought there is one Mormon poster who seems to have survived a certain amount of time. The MDD board does allow free discussion as long as the posters are respectful and not flippant. I think that they do a good job.

And this board because of its no ban policy can suffer from the lack of it because posters post without borders. Every child needs to be taught borders or there will be anarchy in the home.
I intend to lay a foundation that will revolutionize the whole world.

Wow. You sense the hate, surely. But you rarely get it so clearly, I guess, until you leave.

The Nehor was nice cmpared to me. I didn't realize people hated so much. I know I've mentioned the hate here before but I guess its worse than I initially thought. I guess I'm stuck conversing with people who harbor a lot of hate. In a sense that'll make participation much more interesting. There is, afterall, a lot of hate in this world and if I really wish to understand others I'll have to learn to deal with those who harbor tons of hate.

you know how every once in a while a post or thread comes along that opens your eyes a little? Well thanks folks. I don't know how I was so blind. I thought more of many of ya.
Love ya tons,

"I'm curious as to what the vultures have to say. LOL" - liz

This seems an entirely appropriate description to me, given the situation.

Vultures are normally attracted to obviously weak or moribund organisms. Their job in life is to clean up the mess left behind when things go terribly wrong.
