And, while I haven't deleted my account over there, and have periodically left in disgust for lengthy stints, what may keep me from going back again is my having recently picked up several noxious computer viruses (how apropos) presumably from that website (I am not sure if they were or weren't embedded in some of the racey ads or not), which cost me several days to repair, and I would just as soon avoid that happening again. So, I now have double the disincentive.

It has often been suggested to me that, if I would simply cease engaging him, my Malevolent Stalker would drop his anonymous on-line crusade (now fully half a decade old) to criticize, malign, and defame me.

Translation:
Now that I have my minions in here to back up my lack of a response to questions I said I'd answer, I'll play the pity card here in a desperate plea for sympathy because I know my own actions to criticize, malign, and defame posters won't be called out.

I have never believed this to be true.

Translation:
I realize what I just said was a direct accusation, but my actions to insult and dodge questions (that I said I'd answer when I have time) must take a back seat now, as I attempt to garnish sympathy to spin the fact I simply cannot answer the questions and had no other choice but to flee.

In the past, I've sometimes been altogether gone from message boards (because I was traveling in distant and frequently obscure places, without much access to the Internet and very busy) for as long as six or seven weeks. But when I've returned from such expeditions, he's still been at it, without any slackening of his malignant and obsessive zeal.

Translation:
Once again, the ruse I'll paint claiming I was too busy to answer simple questions must be removed from the argument, even though I did have time to post numerous insults aimed at various people who disagreed with me. While I dish it out, I simply can't take it and need your support to back up my lack of actual answers to questions asked, and Dr. Scratch is a good segue to pin up as a poster child to garnish sympathy.

Well, I've now been utterly gone from his home message board for a full week. I've deleted my account there.

Translation:
I was backed into a corner regarding answers I didn't have to questions I said I'd answer, so I had to tuck tail and flee. My reputation as a scholar depends on my ability to dodge questions and insult the people asking them, so I really had no choice.

This should be a good test of the notion that, if I stop responding to him, he'll stop slandering me.

Translation:
Just in case I haven't made my point, Dr. Scratch is bad and you should focus on that instead of me running away.

So far, the results are not positive.

Will one of you lemmings go over there and fight my fight for me?

He's posted about me several times since I quietly left his board, and, just minutes ago, he launched an entirely new thread devoted to criticizing me.

Translation:
Feel me. Feel me. Touch me... heal me.

(He once promised never to start another such thread. That was, needless to say, many such threads ago.)

Translation:
Please reinforce in your minds that the reason I ran away from questions I said I'd answer but didn't, isn't the point of focus, but rather it's because Dr. Scratch is evil. Please show me some support so I can continue my endless charade that I actually have answers, when we all know that I don't and it's the real reason I chose to tuck tail and flee.

What is it that DCP is "responding" to, exactly? I can see that he's complaining about my Dehlin thread, but there was a substantive point to my remarks (and Dehlin's, for that matter). I guess that's what he's "responding" to? I raise the issue of Dehlin's suggestion, and Dan's response is to engage in his usual demonization and stirring of the pot.

There is no doubt that this is a very ugly and mean spirited-thread which shows the TBM and critic alike just how nasty the MAD Board can be. I can't imagine how Julianne/Nemesis could justify this.

Remember a few months ago when Julianne/Nemesis was so morally outraged that people were posting captions on the Julianne Meme? In this thread so far, there have been derogatory photos and derogatory captions of Shades, Dr. Scratch, Kevin Graham and LDSToronto (just to name a few).

Julianne/Nemesis, it's pretty hard to claim any moral high ground when you are allowing exactly the same thing that so outraged you a couple of months ago.

I doubt it. They have tweaked their registration system so that it is impossible to register automatically. They force you to send an email to the administer and request a manual registration. The only reason I can think of why they would want to do that is to decide in advance whom to let in and whom not to. Anyways, I tried, and got no reply, so the obvious conclusion must be that they don't want to.

Apparently this guy was blocked by Shades before he ever registered. (Hey Shades how about stop deleting every new account in a futile attempt to keep the number of users at 1000. Pleaze?)
