I don't recall the drama between LDST and Nehor. Nehor is harsh to people who claim to be active while criticizing the church.
However, to be fair to Liz, I might have started a goodbye thread to Nehor because I like him. Then again, I may not have--figuring that if Nehor wanted to say goodbye he would have.
After starting said thread, Liz flounces off to NOM-Utopia, where people pretend the LDS Church is gay friendly and pluralistic, so she can link drama thread with an appropriate “LOL” to signal the start of commentary by a virtual parade of crucified messiahs.
Daniel Peterson and Nehor don't strike me as the NOM type. If anything, they're opposed to it.
The icing on this two layered cake, is now Liz gets to dole out invitations to her clubhouse. It’s similar to MAD banning someone, then continuing the conversation one sided.
This doesn't seem like a big deal to me. There are all sort of ways we can have one-sided communications from PMs to Facebook.
when really this thread was intended to provoke drama, has invoked drama, and will thrive with said drama for many more pages.
I think essentially this is correct. If anyone sits down and thinks about it, the end result of goodbye threads is drama. That's one reason I figured if I leave I'll just go quietly. Now, though, maybe I'll leave with a thread just to provoke drama. It could be interesting to learn what people really think of me, no?
Many people dislike Nehor--I guess I get that. But I think the barbs he receives are a bit much. I'm probably more nebbish than Nehor and have stranger hobbies. I'm guessing that the reason I'm not criticized as he was is that I don't annoy critics with barbs much if at all.
All that aside, I thought the reason Nehor left was due to how Daniel Peterson was treated, that Daniel Peterson deleted his account, and that Daniel Peterson started a thread discussing it on MDD.
