What I find deceptive is for her to
(1) establish such a place,
(2) lead a defection of her favorite MDB posters, and then
(3) come here and try to mislead us that we've driven off one of her favorite poster that she'll now "miss".
Had liz never made a post here along the lines of the OP of this thread (#3), and I later learned of #(1), I would not have given it a second thought. But then came (#3), and the revelations that followed. Clearly, one writing the OP in this thread hoped that her ##(1) and (2) steps would never come to light. As a consequence of the context ##(1) and (2) give to her #3 OP in this thread, I call BS to that duplicity. #(2) in its own right is disconcerting--particularly by a mod that should have some sense of loyalty, even the smallest modicum of it, to a board (MDB) on which she is a mod.
liz herself would be making tons of hay of such if Juliann had done so, but here liz is having done so herself.
sock,
Firstly, Juliann did just that. She created a board with a relatively exclusive membership.
Secondly, I take exception to the phrase "lead a defection of her favorite posters". There are posters on her board who continue to post on this board. They are simply looking for a different type of interaction than they find on this board. Perhaps a more quiet board where folks aren't badgering the “F” out of them and their ideas can be transmitted and shared in relative peace. I don't know why you think that the posters on Liz's board were "led". They accepted an invitation.
Thirdly, Liz is free to establish a message board anywhere she wishes and with whom she wishes. In this case, I don't believe that it had to do with "her favorite posters". It had to do with people who share common ground.
Why any of you are driving this into the ground is beyond me. When I refer to "badgering the “F” out of them" take a look for evidence of that on this very thread. Perhaps that will help you to understand why some posters chose to accept Liz's invitation to a more friendly environment.
