Maybe they meant independent from reality.

I think the mastermind, is... how do I put this... Queer. But that's just a stereotypical observation. I doubt there is really any sort of hidden agenda.

Re: BYU students resurrect Student Review as independent voice
I proofread at least one of the paper's articles before it went to press. I'm going to write a full review of the first issue of the Student Review sometime this week.

You made me look at the pix again, gramps. Thongs has a different meaning these days.
What's on her feet are now referred to as sandals.

So, Mr. Antley, you personally know these subversives and convort with them? They had you proof one of the articles before it went to press?
I knew there was something appealing about your persona.

From ye linked article wrote:Unfortunately, though, most of the Student Review's apparent edginess seems to be superficial.
Honestly, that's always been the case. When I went to BYU, it was during the era of the Student Review. Not only were the articles not edgy, they really didn't have much to say. The church controls every aspect of BYU and BYU Students' lives. The Student Review has always been an elaborate self-deception for those who could never admit that.
