I suppose this is a double sided question, or perhaps two questions.
Firstly, I'm unaware of any non-Mormon scholar who's work and study in their chosen field has added any credibility to Mormonisms claims that:
A. The Book of Mormon is a factual record of real people.
B. That the Book of Abraham was really written by Abraham.
Is there any?
And secondly, does the fact that the very many millions of credible scholars, working in the fields related to Book of Mormon/Book of Abraham historicity (anthropology, archeology etc), who ignore it as a source of factual information, bear testimony loud and clear of it's fraudulent nature?
Reading these questions back it would appear I have a preconceptions of the outcome. Well I do, that is clear. However, my mind isn't completely closed, so if there's anything credible let's hear it and discuss it.

Christopher Hitchens and Richard Dawkins have both testified that Joseph Smith very obviously a charlatan and a fraud. Does that count?
