I saw a magic trick

Post by _Tarski »

I saw a magic trick and I can't explain it.
A full grown women was cut in two pieces and put back together.
My understanding of reality was demolished. My world turned to vapor.
So I read a book from Barnes and Noble about quantum mechanics and learned that everything is really spooky.
I realized that the LDS church is true after all.
Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet.

(it just makes sense)

translation: I'm scared of death and need my mommy.
when believers want to give their claims more weight, they dress these claims up in scientific terms. When believers want to belittle atheism or secular humanism, they call it a "religion". -Beastie

The logical flow from one statement to the next here is impossible to dispute. How could anyone argue against this? I guess I better saddle up and head to church this Sunday.

Church can be your mommy (even though it tends to wean its children too early).
God belief is for people who don't want to live life on the universe's terms.

I can one up that!!

I knew of a guy that knew a guy that had cancer that mysteriously disappeared and... get this... the Dr's couldn't explain it!!

Therefore, God healed this man.

It's really the only possible explanation.

Yup. Just like, before we knew how cancers start, the only possible explanation was that God sent them to punish us.

It's all so simple, so why won't people just believe?

I did not have a faith crisis. I discovered that the Church was having a truth crisis.

That's the problem with this supernatural stuff, it doesn't really solve anything. It's a placeholder for ignorance.
