I would like everyone to know that this post from the person who insists that LDS doctrine is compatible with evolution and that the Church did not officially teach that Adam is Heavenly Father has caused my irony meter to explode.

For a prime example of where Joseph Smith picked up his fondness for this practice, see The Antiquities of Freemasonry, where we learn that Freemasonry was practiced in the garden of Eden, and also by the ancient Israelites, Egyptians, etc. :D
