For a TBM, losing faith in Mormonism HURTS LIKE HELL at first, but then once you come to "Acceptance" the pain/depression goes away, and you are HAPPY! Takes some time. The more you "resist" admitting to yourself the Truth, the longer your pain/depression will continue.
It took me many years AFTER I left the Church to say "Joseph Smith was a fraud" and "The Book of Mormon is fiction". As a TBM, I believed I would NEVER say those things! I would sooner cut-out my own tongue and choke on my own blood first. But, after being confronted with mounting evidence, the size of Mount Everest, you have two choices:
a) Dismiss it all with the wave of a magic hand, and "forget" about it.
b) Accept the facts and "admit" the truth to yourself.
Church leaders do "a". Many TBMs do "a". If you have an "Ignoramus" type of personality, doing "a" is easy and natural. But, if you are not an ignoramus, doing "a" will be impossible for you, and you'll be left to confront the evidence. You won't be able to shake it off. It will bug you and bug you and pester you until you get sad and depressed you feel like killing yourself. But....don't! Because, the "light" is at the end of the tunnel. Keep going. You'll feel better soon. Soon, you'll be in the sunlight, and you'll say: "Why the HELL did I want to go through that tunnel in the first place!"
Once you reach the stage of Acceptance allwill be well. You'll say, "I can't believe I believed that stuff in the first place! How STUPID could I have been?"
My journey "through" Mormonism was a very long and PAINFUL experience. You're does not have to be. The longer you are in DENIAL, the more painful your experience will be. The sooner you say, "Ok, it was a lie...I can see that now...I'm getting on with my life" the happier and more productive your new life will be.
There is no reason to "blame God" for Mormonism. Don't reject God because Mormonism is a lie. Blame Joseph Smith, then get on with your life. Explore new belief systems. I explored all of them, and came to Daheshism. Mormonism and Atheism are not the only "two" choices you have. There are many faiths out there. You don't need a "Church" to find God either. Abraham didn't have one.
Admit the truth to yourself. Accept. Do so and you'll be happy again I promise you. Then get on living your life to the fullest every day.

Looks like it's worked for you . . .
You prove yourself of the devil and anti-mormon every word you utter, because only the devil perverts facts to make their case.--ldsfaqs (6-24-13)

when believers want to give their claims more weight, they dress these claims up in scientific terms. When believers want to belittle atheism or secular humanism, they call it a "religion". -Beastie
