I've rejected Mormonism and all Christianity. There is no devil. There were no Satanic origins of Mormonism. The origins of Mormonism are very similar to the origins of Christianity.Christian Avenger wrote:"And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." (2 Corinthians 11:14)
Given the Satanic origins of Mormonism it should come as no surprise that those who eventually reject the cult of Joseph Smith lose their fears of demonic influences.

Yeah, I used to get extra creeped out by references to demons and such in movies because I thought they were real.. Not anymore.
Zackly my point. I can't help it... But I now view people who believe in that stuff as childish. It's not fair on my part because I used to also.

The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist.

That is so true. I understand why people say he does not exist. Just don't take that to the next step. Some worship Satan as a fun play. They act out the role and pretend to worship him. People are not ready to have the restrainer leave and for the release of the powers of Satan. If it happens in my lifetime it will be interesting to watch.

Always glad to see The Usual Suspects quoted, but the original goes like this--
In 1864's The Generous Gambler, Charles Baudelaire wrote:He complained in no way of the evil reputation under which he lived, indeed, all over the world, and he assured me that he himself was of all living beings the most interested in the destruction of Superstition, and he avowed to me that he had been afraid, relatively as to his proper power, once only, and that was on the day when he had heard a preacher, more subtle than the rest of the human herd, cry in his pulpit: "My dear brethren, do not ever forget, when you hear the progress of lights praised, that the loveliest trick of the Devil is to persuade you that he does not exist!
attributed to a preacher.

Children behave because Santa's elves are watching. Adults behave because Satan's demons are tempting.
How can we keep people behaving if they stop believing?

Threat of imprisonment! Or drug 'em. One or the other.

Bribe them, drug them, threaten them, or even by choice to be good for the sake of being good. But the opposite is true. Bribe them, drug them, threaten them, or by choice to be bad they are bad.

I thought that people did evil because they listened to the devils. If the devils are on holiday, why would anyone do evil?
