What? It's just too damn hard to schedule BYU around not playing on sunday?? I don't get it.

When do colleges play on Sunday anyways? Aren't they all on Sat?

That was my first thought. I guess maybe some bowl games play on Sunday, but the seasons are all on Saturday.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

I say good for BYU to! And I know BYU cheats in other areas, but at least here they are living up to their self-imposed standards.

I think the no sunday thing would apply to basketball games - then minor sports often do a sat/sun or fri/sun thing. If you are going to play in a big conference with a divers geographical membership, you have to play on Sunday.
