Well------ Not sure what you mean by "a step back". If you mean - "get a life", perhaps. But I notice that, on average, you post about 20 times per day more than I do here. However I recognize each of us find a life that is most fulfilling and gratifying to our own desires, abilities, interests and skill sets.

But I appreciate your candor and recognize that my time here has cut back on other things that are far more productive and meaningful. Thank you for that Jersey Girl!

I mean take a step back and get some perspective. You think a guy posting an average of 2 posts per day is "gorging".

god, what an idiot you are.

So what you're saying is that Provo is posting about as much there as he used to here.  I thought you had previously surmised that he had just become too busy (again!) to spend time on message boards as his reason for leaving here.

Self-perceived "big fish", accustomed to small ponds, always need to find new homes when the water rises!

But some things never change - in Provo, only in Provo!

Actually, Dan was posting more like 3-4 time per day here, I believe. I don't have his stats here now, since he eliminated his sign-on. He also participated rather heavily on MDD. So, he has gone from posting roughly 8-10 posts per day on various message boards to posting 2 posts per day on my message board. I would say that is a dramatic difference.

Also, as an employer, do you allow your employees to use personal Internet on lunches or breaks? In my situation, I am allowed to use personal time on the Internet during my lunch. If Dan is posting 2 posts per day, that would be pretty easy to do on a lunch, without interrupting a productive workday.

I think that you using the term "gorging", implying that Dan is making massive, excessive posts on my site is very disingenuous. Any way you slice it, 2 posts per day can hardly be termed as "gorging", or excessive.

Liz, you have the ability to verify this assumption within reason. Please, quit trying to find the excuses for Provo! He's made a life on message boards making up his own excuses! Really, how far you gonna try and stretch for this guy!!! Unbelievable!!!

Ha! You're jealous because the cafeteria has better donuts on their lunch line.

How far are YOU going to go in an attempt to vilify him?

All I am doing is stating the facts of the current situation. The numbers I posted backed up my statement. The facts are....Dan posts on my site on an average of twice a day. In your eyes, apparently, this is excessive.

In my eyes, your observation is foolish.

Since we're discussing numbers, I just thought I would add the fact that Joey has 225 posts that contain the word, Provo, which he uses to refer to DCP, not the city.

Now who is being excessive? ;-)

Joey wrote:Could be one of the most stupid remarks I've seen here.  As owner and an employer, yes - it would be grounds for termination if I found those who I was providing a job and earnings to be spending their time on  company payroll posting on message/gossip boards.  Perhaps you and Provo may have a self created sense of entitlement that your employer is somehow not deserving of getting a full days work for a full days pay.  Thankfully, in this difficult time, I have great employees that appreciate having jobs and have the integrity to honor our mutual commitment.  Obviously you and Provo don't share those values.  Not surprised Scottie!  Only in Provo!!

Tell you what, Mr. ethical employer...

As soon as you or my current employer back-pays me for all the 60 hour work weeks that I have put in for Z E R O extra pay, we can talk about "fair wages". Until then, I will continue to feel unashamed to take 20 or so minutes a day to take a break and get my mind off of thing.

I'm guessing you expect, nay, REQUIRE 50-60 hours a week out of your employees without batting and eye, and in fact, think that your employees should worship the ground you walk on for providing them the opportunity to slave 60 hours a week for you to make you rich.

You disgust me.

I kinda miss the back and forth between Joey and "Provo."

A mere term of endearment for him. Much like his references to Buffalo as "Chip". But hey, what's a few double standards for the sake of cafeteria style!
