If he is married he will most likely be hurting his wife since viewing people having sex and masturbating just may send a signal to the wife that she is not good enough.
I understand if a man is married. But what if he isn't. What if he has no hope of marrying in the near future. My question is, "What if he really is a loser?" What if no women are interested? Who cares if he looks at porn and masturbates? Who is he hurting? He's just relieving his own burden and making his own life a little more bearable.
I asked a similar question in chat last night. What about a single person orgasm makes god so upset? How is a single person orgasm sooo different from a married person orgasm?

Porn production is a problem if it involves exploitation or encourages violent fantasies. And consumption is a problem if it's a betrayal of trust in a marriage relationship. But I see no reason to oppose all porn on principle. Christian sexual taboos are socially constructed and designed for a particular kind of social environment that no longer exists. They stem from pre-scientific, patriarchal cultures in which it was important for women to keep themselves "pure" so the paternity of children could be identified. Matriarchal and egalitarian cultures rarely share such scruples, and technology has solved the paternity problem in any case. We can now afford to do away with the social technology of purity taboo, and replace it with a social technology of sex education and sexual voluntarism that's more suited our current value system and technological level.

"Pornography is any material depicting or describing the human body or sexual conduct in a way that arouses sexual feelings. It is distributed through many media, including magazines, books, television, movies, music, and the Internet." - from LDS.org
Of course, that only accounts for God's anger at a single male's orgasm.
The whole misbegotten idea might have evolved from the account of Onan in the Old Testament.
OMG, that wasw hilarious!!!
How come eggs aren't as special?

I can't be sure, but...
I once came across some clip art of images from old medical texts. How old, I cannot say. But some of the images were cross-section close-ups of sperm cells (flagellum and everything), with the head containing a miniature baby! I believe that such a miniature baby, supposedly contained in the sperm cell, was known as a homunculus.
If medical knowledge of the not-too-distant past mistakenly held that each sperm cell contained a miniature baby, then the practice of male masturbation could be made to appear significantly more serious.
I don't know why they apparently supposed that the sperm cell, and not the egg cell, contained the miniature baby. Maybe because they wanted to propagate the view that the male germ was superior.

And she's in that movie where she's walking around naked, and then does bad things so she has to be punished......
She looked kinda vacant to me. Like a stepford wife or robot.

When it comes to pornography and masturbation, both are unnecessary, carnal indulgences. I am very much in favor of sexual tensions building in individuals with no release, to the point that these people cannot focus on their work or school, and to the further point that they commit rape and other violence.
