Okay. Just for you guys I'll toss a fake earring on my ear for Church on Sunday. Oh boy.

That may work too. By the way, what do you mean "wasn't"? I was under the impression you are still a Church attender?

You simply don't get it. If I showed up a church on Sunday with a fake earring everyone would chuckle, knowing full well it was fake. They know me too well to know I wouldn't ever care two licks about how I look enough to go and get an earring for some sort of immature statement--which is about the gist of any particular reason I would get an earring.
What's funny is you really think you know that my ward would start gossiping about me and judging me. Oh brother. You don't have a clue do you?
I can already guess what they think when they see someone with an earring, "interesting looking fella. Perhaps I'll go over and meet him and learn his story". They certainly aren't going to think, "what a chump. I hate him for his effort to appear at my church building with an earring in his ear."

I've even seen young men that even had long hair been asked by the bishop to cut their hair.
My sisters use to wear more than one earing and they stopped cause the prophet counselled them not to wear them. If they did keep wearing them the other young women would've mentioned things to them and so their leaders would encourage them not to wear them.
Let me ask you this Stem, say you were the Elders Qurom prez and one of your Elders wanted to get a earing. Would you not encourage them not to get it? After they got it would you not encourage them to take it out? Or would you just be like… whatever! Wouldn't it be some of your responsibility to encourage the Elders to follow the counsel of the prophet?

People talk anyway. I don't' know about start talking. But if someone got an earring and showed up I don't think anyone is going to go on and on about how bad the person is.I've even seen young men that even had long hair been asked by the bishop to cut their hair.

I've seen plenty who stillwear more than one set. No big deal to me.Let me ask you this Stem, say you were the Elders Qurom prez and one of your Elders wanted to get a earing. I honestly would not care at all and would wonder why in the world some elder is coming to me about getting an earring.
