Re: Pornography Support/Disaproval Poll
This poll does seem to be better than the rest. I think you may get the answer you are looking for.
Although, if you are looking for how many people use porn then you might not get that answer with this poll. Just because you approve porn (whatever that means) does not mean you necessarily watch it.

Re: Pornography Support/Disaproval Poll
Finally, a poll on pornography that I could cast a vote in.
I voted: Approve, but with provisos.
I have no problem with anyone's desire to view what you call pornography. My main concern with pornography is the industry that produces it.
Like alcohol prohibition in the past, the porn industry has deep organized crime associations. This is never a good thing. I think that some young people are used, abused and victimized by those that produce porn and that is a real shame.

This, or any other post that I have made or will make in the future, is strictly my own opinion and consequently of little or no value.

What a moronic, incomprehensible, attention-seeking post. I don't think you've ever set foot in a courtroom, either, except perhaps your divorce proceedings. [Just kidding; ignore this comment. This is an example of a completely improper paragraph in a religious discussion.]
Pornography is reprehensible and usually degrades women and the reproductive act. People who view it for prurient reasons are not the sort of people I'd want my children dealing with or whom I'd want to employ. People who view porn on company devices are suitable for discipline and termination for a reason. Moreover, such people violate basic Christian principles.
Having said that, nobody's perfect and such people ought to be forgiven and not judged too harshly if the only harm is to themselves. There shouldn't be legislation prohibiting it, because legislating against it will mean incursions into other means of speech, although I would support means to protect children from seeing it.
It's like abortion. I think it morally reprehensible, a moral violation of the highest order for any woman and cooperating paramour, but legislation shouldn't prevent it except perhaps for minors.
And, since I have worked for the ACLU in the past I obviously support most of what it does and I support its position of free speech. It represents both conservatives and liberals in area.

Just make sure you only view porn where it looks like the all the participants are really, really enjoying it. Then you can focus on how much you really, really enjoy it, and not be weighed down by distracting concerns

Cool! I'll try it. Any suggestions on where to start?

There are many variations of porn. Some more graphic and course than other types. some of the best porn doesn't even involve intercourse, so it could hardly "degrade" the reproductive act.
Some porn is created without the income motive (like having a hot girl or guy send you a pic of their naked bod on a cell phone)...God I love that kind of porn.
I personally find violence and war glorification far worse than any sexual deviancy (non-violent and exploitative) and that violence even more violates those Christian principles in my opinion...and, come to think of it, in the opinion of all who aren't total sociopaths. Of course, that doesn't stop self described Christians from killing or supporting war and violence. Worse, most so called Christians don't even recognize their glaring hypocrisy. Sad.
As my LDS step-mom said to me after I went and saw my first horror flick in 1978: "I would rather you watch the worst sex film before one of violence and murder". I couldn't have agreed more.
I have taken that advice to heart and really enjoy my sex films now!

Sounds like you shouldn't go to church because as you know there are plenty of Mormon men that view porn.
Oh and you probably shouldn't let your kids outside their house cause I'm pretty sure 90% of the male population view porn sometimes. I'm not sure what percentage of the female population views porn but I think about 80% love twilight and that is close enough to porn.

Actually, Twilight has more of a cult following. I'm confident that far less than 80% of women have even read the series, let alone enjoyed it. :P
If you wanna make that more general and say 80% of women enjoy RomCom's and those are close enough to porn...rotflmao. Ok. We can use that.

I wouldn't be surprise if more marriages are "ruined" not due to porn, but to impossible standards and fantasies foisted upon us by the media about marriage and materialism.
Which is worse? Seeing a woman or man's nude body and having the natural sexual response provided by eons of evolutionary design, or, getting all charged by the notion of an undead being who feeds and murders human beings as your sexual fantasy and life partner ("Twilight", "Vampire diaries", etc etc)?
Anybody notice how impossibly good looking all those vampires are on the "vampire Diaries"? Where do the casting and talent agents find all those good looking vampires anyway? Come to think of it, I wouldn't mind having a super hottie vamp "feed" on me a bit. As long as she didn't drain me completely I suppose. And by "drain" I mean blood...Ok, I am going to stop there.

lmao
I would say that unmet expectations are exactly what ruins relationships. All kinds. Now we just have to figure out what expectations are realistic and which aren't.
That is the hard part.
