Trouble at City Creek

Post by _The Mighty Builder »

In the Richard Street Condominium tower there is a design error.

Each Condominium has a closet for and is furnished with a washer/dryer combination system (Stackable). As constructed, the utility closet where the Stackable Laundry unit sits is plumbed without a floor drain. To date units have been damaged when several (Older) residents have flooded their washers and the excess water has leaked through to the unit below and even better the unit below that one.

Several questions need to be addressed.
1. How is it that the units were built in violation of Building Codes that require a floor drain in any utility/wash room.

2. How is it that water was able to soak through a vinyl floor covering, a 4” thick concrete floor slab and then through the sheetrock ceiling.

3. How could this happen for a second time.

Just food for thought. Realize that every large project like this have errors in design and omissions in construction. I just found it funny.

I would agree, except I'd no doubt be the proud owner of the unit BELOW.

And it helps things like this, if the owner is exempt from all regulations.

God would not have allowed this to happen without a very good reason. The occupants of those units and those underneath them must have committed a grave sin.

I'm guessing something to do with drinking coffee.

By the ceiling power of these Trout, they were able to bypass the building inspectors and their codes. Who wants to mess around with Trout that can dissolve both concrete and sheet rock, then bind you to the rubble for time and eternity?

I heard there might be white salamanders gnawing on the foundations. by the way, they turned white after being baptised in the acidic trout water. The trout took the liberty of having some for dinner but since white salamanders are polygamous, they were able to reproduce fast enough to replace the losses.

And they're not even made to have 10% automatically deducted from their gross paychecks as tithing (above and beyond rent) as a requirement to live there! Double horror!

These are very good questions, but the answers are not essential to your eternal salvation.

Okay, I have to ask for clarification. By "older" residents, are you talking about elderly people or residents who have had their units longer?
