The hard-boiled TBM response to the question of why God sent an angel to enforce Smith's polygamy, but not to spare the Jews from the Holocaust, actually will be that, in the grand eternal scheme, failure to establish the "everlasting covenant of marriage" ultimately would have had far more negative repercussions on the "plan of happiness" than the deaths of 6 million people ever could. Those 6 million people were going to die sooner or later anyway, the hard-boiled TBM will say, and God will make everything right with them in the hereafter.


According to D&C 58, there is something you could do that God would approve of. Enlist in the IDF.
