Women can also be given to worthy men (a.k.a.: celestial polygamy).
There is no doubt that males have a superior position in Mormon theology. Even as "goddesses", females are still stay-at-home mothers with silent voices in the larger scheme of things. If anyone doubts that, try praying to Heavenly Mother next sacrament meeting.
But as far as entry into the CK, it's egalitarian. Man needs woman as much as woman needs man, and if, through no fault or choice of their own, they don't have a spouse eligible for godhood, they'll be given one in the next life.
Once they're gods, of course, the same old gender restricted roles apply. Seriously. What sane woman wants to have babies for all eternity. As much as you love the ones you have, it's a relief when they're on grown. There is nothing more exhausting than raising babies.
I guess you could look to your Sister Wives for help, but they'll have their own billions of spirit babies to look after. Don't expect much from hubby. He's got lots of wives and children to tend to, plus planets and all that stuff.
