I think the new quote is fairer because the other was not said by DCP, yet it makes a claim about him as if he was truly involved. Although whoever wrote it, said it as a joke..it is wrong in my opinion to use a quote which includes a claim that a poster(known in real life)on this message board, was involved in doing something they weren't involved with ..and the purpose of the quote is meant to reflect negatively on them.

I think there's a rather obvious answer, Buffalo. the quote wasn't offered as any sort of joke. It was used by one guy who has repeatedly attempted to paint Peterson as a bad person.
